Moving Across The Hibiscus Coast
The Hibiscus Coast includes Ōrewa apartments, established homes around Red Beach and Stanmore Bay, newer developments in Silverdale and Millwater, and hillside properties along the Whangaparāoa Peninsula.
Access can change significantly between these areas. Some coastal homes sit above or below the road, while newer townhouse developments may have shared lanes and limited street parking. We ask about driveways, stairs, parking and building access before confirming the move.
Hibiscus Coast House Moves
Homes around Gulf Harbour, Army Bay, Tindalls Bay, Manly and Stanmore Bay can involve sloping sections, narrow driveways or several steps between the road and entrance. Tell us where a medium truck can park and whether there is enough room to turn.
We load your packed boxes and furniture, protect suitable pieces with moving blankets and unload everything into the rooms you choose. If access is difficult to describe, send photographs of the driveway, entrance and stairs when requesting your quote.
Ōrewa Apartments & Retirement Moves
Ōrewa and surrounding areas include apartments, units, townhouses and retirement properties that often require careful coordination with building management. Before moving day, confirm lift reservations, protective lift coverings, loading-area bookings and any set moving hours.
The Hibiscus Coast is also home to a range of retirement villages. Check requirements with village management before booking — we will need to know where the truck can stop, how far items must be carried and whether a lift needs to be reserved.
The Whangaparāoa Peninsula
Travel along the Whangaparāoa Peninsula can take time, particularly during busy periods, and access can become tighter around coastal streets and hillside properties. Tell us about steep sections, low branches, narrow corners and limited turning space — a driveway that suits a car may not suit a medium moving truck.
In Silverdale, Millwater and newer developments, shared lanes, active construction and limited visitor parking can also affect access. Check whether your development has a designated loading position and keep the closest suitable parking space clear.
Hibiscus Coast Moving Prices
Our standard Auckland moving rate is $110 excluding GST per hour for two movers and a truck, plus a one-off $50 call-out fee excluding GST.
The $100 deposit secures the agreed moving date. The remaining balance is based on the moving time and any additional services confirmed beforehand. Hibiscus Coast covers a range of access conditions, so travel requirements and chargeable time will be confirmed from the addresses supplied.
